In relationships there can often be times when you don't understand yourself or your partner. Why you are both behaving the way you are. Why you both feel and react a certain way to the same problems again and again. Some people question their decision to stay or leave a relationship.

Very close relationships need touch, feel, sight and smell. In a romantic relationship, trust, communication, and enjoyment make up a major part of the relationship.

Without these, the romantic feelings will diminish as quickly as they began. Work, family, duties, and self goals can wedge a distance between a couple.

Over time, the couple’s ability to communicate disintegrates as they may wrongly interpret the needs or actions of their partner.

Every one has different expectations when it comes to relationships and brings their own history of how couples should work.

The first step to security in relationship is to build healthy communications. In order to have mutual understanding, you must first learn what your needs are and then how to discuss them with your partner in an emotionally open, safe place. Listening is important during this step to really hear and feel what your partner is saying.
