for both the general public and professionals. Articles can be found on a
variety of topics along with a few free brochures A toll-free number,

area to find a psychologist.
AHP Association for
Humanistic Psychology gives listings of therapists by state,
with descriptions provided by each therapist member. The site
also includes information on the history and philosophy of humanistic
psychology.
The California Psychological Association (CPA) is a 501(c)(6) non-profit professional association for licensed psychologists and others affiliated with the delivery of psychological services. In addition to the role of advocate for the profession of psychology, CPA's members regularly provide free public service through programs such as its Public Educaton Campaign and its well-respected disaster response service. Additionally, CPA works closely with the media to provide timely and accurate information on a variety of issues to increase the understanding of human behavior.
The San Francisco Psychological Association , a chapter of the California Psychological Association, is a not-for-profit association of licensed psychologists that was founded in the late 1950s. it was originally named the Bay Area Psychological Association, until the 1970s, by which time all the other local counties had set up their own psychological associations. it represents psychology in the city and county of San Francisco and is recognized at the national level for its competence.
The Alameda County Psychological Association is a local chapter of the California Psychological Association, an affiliate of the American Psychological Association. As a collaboration of licensed psychologists and others affiliated with the delivery of psychological services, these Associations seek to promote the responsible and effective practice of psychology through activities which support the education of its members and the highest standards of professional conduct and ethics.

Are Married People Happier Than Unmarried People? from The American Psychological Association. In a large longitudinal study that sheds new light on the association between marital status and happiness, researchers have found that people get a boost in life satisfaction from marriage. But the increase in happiness is very small -- approximately one tenth of one point on an 11-point scale -- and is likely due to initial reactions to marriage and then a return to prior levels of happiness.
